We will host the Mass and the Breakfast at the Diocesan Pastoral Center of the Diocese of Phoenix. Monroe Street Phoenix, AZ 85004 CLE Presentation: Clergy Penitent Privilege with Brett Johnson Parking: is available under the DPC at Monroe Street and 5th Street Our speaker this year is Brett Johnson, a partner with Snell and Wilmer. Mr. Johnson will provide a presentation on the recently issued Arizona Supreme Court decision, Doe v. The Corporation of the President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, CV -25-0213 (July 2026). In Doe, the Court discussed and affirmed the contours of the Clery Pentinent Privilege. Mr. Johnson prepared an Amicus Brief for the Diocese of Phoenix on this important case. At Snell and Wilmer, Mr. Johnson represents businesses and individuals in government relations matters. His practice includes state and federal constitutional law, government regulatory compliance, export, government contracting, political and election law, and healthcare matters, including professional liability defense and commercial litigation. Brett serves on the firm’s elected five-person Executive Committee, is the chair of the Special Litigation & Compliance Practice Group, and co-chair of the International Industry Group.
