This gathering is an opportunity to slow down, tune in, and experience the Salt River in a new way. Through guided listening, moments of reflection, and creative writing prompts, we'll explore the river as a source of inspiration, memory, and connection. No writing experience is necessary, just a curiosity and a willingness to listen. Join us as we discover how sound, story, and place can deepen our relationship with one of Arizona's most iconic waterways. During our time together we will... Listen to a 41-minute compilation of recordings along the Salt River from Saguaro Lake to Central Avenue. Practice deep listening & being present with the evolving soundscape Write a personal reflective piece as you listen - this can be a poem, story, letter, memory, vision, mood board, etc. Share your piece to be included in the community collection This event is free & open to the public.
