When Women Gather

Join us for a showcase event celebrating the world premiere of Upward Spiral Dance's new contemporary work, When Women Gather! Upward Spiral Dance creates welcoming, community-driven dance experiences for adults who are starting or returning to dance, with no prior experience required. Our classes offer a supportive, inclusive space to build confidence, learn foundational movement skills, and rediscover the joy of dancing! When Women Gather explores the lived experience of women in America: the constant overstimulation, invisible emotional labor, frustration of navigating a patriarchal society, and the deep bonds that sustain us through it all. It is a dance about friendship, rage, exhaustion, resilience, and the extraordinary strength that emerges when women gather in community. You'll also get to experience dance works by: Mac & Co Limitless Dance ClassicalFusionDance Karie Pietrykowski Grey Matters Coley Curry Rajitha Bharatan Upward Spiral Dance will perform When Women Gather at the OPEN International Adult Dance Festival in Rome, Italy, on November 14, 2026!
