"Alice's Threshold", a new play by Kevin O'Leary

Alice Fromier is a single, unhoused mother of three who has found herself living in Deering Oaks Park. After a series of mishaps, she finds herself fighting with tireless resolve to provide for her family in the face of impossible adversity. The story follows Alice as she desperately tries to hold on to her family while maintaining her sense of dignity against the juggernaut of the legal system - ever stacked against her. While Alice is a fictional character, her story was inspired by the hard and real truths facing Mainers today, where thousands of people are currently living without shelter, and critical community resource funding faces budget cuts. Alice’s story takes place in Portland, but her reality can be seen across the nation today. The play reunites his Mary Shelley cast of 2023: Marie Stewart Harmon, Sean Ramey, and Tyler Costigan, and will be directed by James Hoban, who staged O’Leary’s God Less America in 2024. Photography and promotional design were provided by Kat Moraros Photography. Alice’s Threshold is produced by his longtime team of Michael Howard, Kyle Hietala, and Big O Productions. The play runs for 90 minutes with no intermission. Donations for Preble Street and Good Shepard Pantry will be gladly accepted at the show.
