Beginner Bezel Setting Thursday 6-week Artist Series

This course is a full overview of bezel settings, starting with simple bezels and progressing up to custom setting unusual shapes. Starts Thursday, November 5th (Thursday mornings from 10:00AM-1:00PM for six weeks.) CLASS DATES: 11/5; 11/12; 11/19; 12/3; 12/10; and 12/17. There is no class on 11/26. This course is a full overview of bezel settings, starting with simple bezels and progressing up to custom setting unusual shapes. The first half of the series is project based. We will start by making a pair of earrings using bezel cups and progress to custom bezel pendants. The second half of the series will be a self-designed project with instructor support. For that project a selection of stones will be available but students are also welcome to bring in small stones or objects from home. This is a beginner class, no prior metalsmithing experience is needed. Materials are not included in the series price. The estimated materials fee is $40* and includes everything needed to complete the course, including your choice of stones. About the instructor: Racheal Cooley has a degree in art and biology. She was first introduced to metalsmith jewelry making in high school and has had a passion for it ever since.
