Each patch is handcrafted in Maine, making every piece unique and giving new life to reclaimed materials through creativity and craftsmanship. Customize your favorite L.L.Bean gear! Bring in a well-loved L.L.Bean item or purchase an eligible product in-store that day and add custom patches with Birch Coast. Recommended items to purchase for patch application: • Hoodies or crewneck sweatshirts • Flannel • Denim • Fleece • Thicker knit sweaters (primarily cotton) • Field Coat Please Note: • Patch application is not available on Boat and Tote bags • Some fabrics may not be suitable for sewing due to stretch or material construction • Quantities are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis Event takes place at the Studio, Main Street level of the L.L.Bean Flagship Store, next to the Custom Shop. Free. One patch per person. Spots are limited and registration is encouraged to reserve your place. Walk-ins are welcome based on availability but cannot be guaranteed. Participants should arrive on time for their reserved session. If you arrive more than 5 minutes after your scheduled start time, your spot may be released to accommodate waitlisted or walk-in guests.
