Tristan Koepke | Big Boy Dance | Open Rehearsal and Discussion

Join Tristan Koepke and his collaborators for an informal open rehearsal and discussion in support of his developing two new projects. Join Tristan Koepke and his colalborators, Emilia Bruno, Rebecca Steinberg, Kate Campbell Strauss, and Daniel Miramontes for an open rehearsal and discussion about two works in progress, due to premiere in 2027 and 2028. Solemnities grows out of a Research Fellowship with the New York Library for the Performing Arts' Dance Division, and seeks to uncloset the archives of Mexican-American dance artist José Limón. The second work, ENIGMA, grows out of the ever-expanding gamut of material built through The Beds Trilogy (2023-2025), with live music composed and performed by Kate Campbell Strauss. The event is free and casual. We will get started promptly at 6PM! This event is supported by the Maine Humanities Council and the Bates Faculty Development Fund.
