Windham Community Forest Ride and BBQ

Ride to celebrate the new name for the combined conservation lands formerly known as the East Windham Conservation Area and Lowell Preserve. Join GPNEMBA, Allspeed Cyclery & Snow, and Brickyard Hollow Brewing Company for a celebration ride and BBQ for the naming of Windham Community Forest. Rides start at 10:00am with food and beverages provided starting at 11:30am. We'll break into mellow, intermediate and advanced ride groups to maximize the fun for everyone. Note that this event will take place at the Lowell Farm Trailhead (formerly Lowell Preserve) which is located behind the East Windham Fire Station. The other primary entrance to Windham Community Forest is the Atherton Hill Trailhead (formerly East Windham Conservation Area). The Windham Community Forest trail system is relatively steep and has some rock features (rock rolls, small drops, etc.), steep/punchy climbs, roots, sharp curves, and fast descents. Be sure that your bike has good front suspension, is in good working order (check your brakes!), and wear appropriate protective equipment (helmets required).
