Campfire Tales: Portland’s Community-Driven Story Stage

I started Campfire Tales because I have debilitating stage fright and I needed a stage anyway. Stubborn, I know. On October 17, Campfire Tales returns to Curious Comedy Theater for a night of true stories from people across Portland. Campfire Tales is a different kind of storytelling show. Some of our storytellers have spent years onstage. Others are stepping up to a microphone for the very first time. This month’s lineup brings them together, from story slam winners and experienced speakers to first-timers finding their voice on our stage. You’ll hear stories that are funny, heartbreaking, surprising, thoughtful, messy, polished, and everything in between. At Campfire Tales, notes are welcome. Shaky hands are welcome. Beautifully crafted stories are welcome. Imperfect stories are especially welcome. At intermission, anyone in the audience can put their name in the hat for a chance to tell a story in our Hot Seat. No storytelling experience required. 📍 Curious Comedy Theater, Portland 🚪 Doors open at 6:30 PM 🎤 Stories begin at 7:00 PM 🎟️ Early Bird tickets are on sale now, and more than half are already gone. Come listen. Support local storytellers. And if you’re feeling brave, put your name in the hat. SAVE MY SEAT www.campfiretales.org/events/p/cc
