Candlelight Vigil for Trans Day of Remembrance

Join us for an interactive candle lighting vigil to honor Trans Day of Remembrance with a ritual steeped in Jewish tradition. This event is open to all trans folks and their allies. Together we will mourn for those we've lost in the past year, and honor their memory, while also looking towards the future, because, to us, the most important part of this holiday is to remember that they lived, not just that they died. Registration is preferred (to plan for numbers), and donations are accepted. The event will be held at Eastside Jewish Commons in the Atrium. The ritual will be led by the creators, Krythe Elaine Arensman (she/fae) and Em Merrell (she/they), founders of Living Bayou. We are hosted by TischPDX and Eastside Jewish Commons.
