Collaborative Painting Date Night! A night of painting with your sweetie, significant other, bestie, mom, dad, pal, chum or whatever. It doesn’t matter who you come with but you can’t come alone! September 19th (Saturday) 7-9pm Hosted by Moksha Marquardt and Corinne Dermond The Haven PDX 2505 NE Pacific St. NOTE: $64 Ticket price covers both people. — This inspiring creative adventure is unlike any other “paint and sip” style class. Why? Because in this class you will be working on a single painting with another person! You and your collaborator will get a 18x24” canvas to share and over the course of the workshop you will experience the joy of the creative process in a whole new way. Painting with someone can be like a dance; its a process of give and take, compromise and brave contributions that serve to inspire one another. It could be a wordless process or you could talk things out as you create. It’s totally up to you. Creative collaboration is a powerful way to communicate with another human in a way that words can’t touch. It’s a new way to experience your partners personal expression that can unlock deep emotions, laughter and maybe even some tears! If you thought painting on your own was fun, wait til you create a painting with another person! If this all sounds a bit scary, don’t worry, Moksha and Corinne will be there to help you as you work through your process. Using their own painting as a demo, they will show different painting techniques and inspiring ideas. No experience is required, just show up being willing to explore! What you choose to paint is totally up to you. What do you get from this experience? At the end of the night you will get to take home the painting that you worked on, and you can cherish the experience of making it. If you have never collaborated on a painting before you will also have unlocked a new achievement and quite possibly, a life changing experience. All materials are provided.
