Nov 19 | Patch Pocket Party! 🪡🎈 | Ages 16+

This Thursday afternoon, join us for a patch pocket party! Get on down to SCRAP to adorn your tote bags, pocket-less pants, dresses, skirts and more with patch pockets. Use SCRAP-made pocket templates to construct adorable patches scrap fabric (or make your own patchwork first, and turn that into a pocket!) and learn how to attach them. We'll also have embroidery tools & materials on offer. We've got sewing machines and special sewing machine feet, a serger, fabric scissors, grid rulers, pins, hand-sewing tools, marking tools, and everything else you'll need. Note: SCRAP educators Kate & Maya will be operating two sewing machines to help those who have never machine-sewn before, but we'll have four (4) other sewing machines and a serger in the studio available to machine-experienced sewists to use! Another Note: If you want to continue your work past three, leave it in the studio and come back at 4pm for Studio Drop-In, our recurring Third Thursday work time! Drop-ins welcome—arrive any time during the event to craft! 12-3pm | Ages 16+. Youth must be accompanied by an adult. Mask friendly environment encouraged. All materials & tools provided (but bring your own clothes to hem!) Location: The new SE SCRAP Education Studio! 619 SE 6th Ave 😊 --- Reserve your seats before the event! SCRAP prioritizes access to affordable art materials and expression, so we’re offering tiered ticket options: • Ambitious Artist ($12) - This ticket reflects the “true value” of the event. • Patron of the Arts ($10) - Your extra support contributes to continued ticket accessibility — thank you so much! • Curious Crafter ($5) - Our most accessible option for community members experiencing financial hardship.
