Clash of Titans - Seasons of Music at Unity Church of North Easton Date and Time: October 9, 2026 at 6:00 PM (Eastern Daylight Time) Experience a remarkable recreation of the legendary 1837 piano duel between Franz Liszt and Sigismund Thalberg, originally held on March 31, 1837, at the Paris salon of Princess Cristina Belgiojoso. This historic contest, a charity fundraiser for Italian refugees, showcased Thalberg’s poised and elegant “three-hand” arpeggio style against Liszt’s fiery and theatrical virtuosity. Performers Mark Viner, acclaimed by International Piano Magazine as “one of the most gifted pianists of his generation,” and Asiya Korepanova, a pianistic powerhouse known for her explorations of monumental works such as Liszt’s 24 Etudes and Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier, bring this extraordinary musical event to life.
