PechaKucha Night PVD #205 - Unhinged

Celebrate your community as people, share ideas, creations, and stories using the PechaKucha format of 20 Images X 20 Seconds. Laugh, learn, and get inspired by a mix of people from Providence as they share their ideas, stories, and creations using the PechaKucha format of 20 images that last 20 seconds each. Named best event in Rhode Island by RI Monthly! This Month's Theme: Unhinged October’s here, and the door is off the hinges. Unhinged is our night to let it all out. The wild, the weird, the unfiltered. Whether it’s too much, too bold, or too real, this is the space for stories that don’t ask permission. From the sexy to the spooky to the totally off-the-wall, join us for a night that celebrates the parts of ourselves that refuse to behave. • What happens when people let go of control, together? • What’s the most unhinged idea you’ve actually followed through on? • When have you embraced chaos and found something beautiful? Doors open at 7:20pm and presentations kick off at 8:20pm. PechaKucha Providence is built and sustained by our community. Thank you to our venues, vendors, and volunteers make this magic happen each month. Thank you to the Providence Tourism Council for supporting us in spreading the word about what we do. What is PechaKucha? If you haven't heard of this global yet unpronounceable phenomenon, PechaKucha is a monthly format for sharing ideas in which presenters are allotted 20 slides and 20 seconds per slide. Simply put: it's 6 minutes and 40 seconds of show and tell for grown-ups. It began in Tokyo in 2003, has since spread to over 1,200 cities worldwide, and first landed in Providence in March of 2009. To the best of our knowledge, Providence is the only chapter in the entire world that hosts a PechaKucha Night every month of the year.
