Holiday Pasta Making Class with Melina's Fresh Pasta

Learn how to make pasta with Carmella, owner of Melina's Fresh Pasta at Il Laboratorio. Classes are hands-on and end with a pasta tasting. Get ready for the holidays and learn how to make 2 pasta shapes and and rich sauces perfect for a big celebration. Menu Pappardelle Crema di Pistacchio & Speck Caramelle Burro & Balsamico Pappardelle are wide pasta ribbons paired with a rich sauce Carmella learned how to make this summer from her Uncle in Italy. Caramelle are a candy shaped pasta filled with seasonal pear & pecorino and served with butter and balsamic glaze. In this hands-on class, we will being with making a fresh egg pasta dough. Next, you will learn how to roll the dough out into thin sheets and shape Pappardelle and Caramelle. We eat what we make! We will cook up the pasta together for a tasting at the end of the class. This is typically enough for a light meal. NOTE: Classes are held at IL LABORATORIO - our Italian Cooking School kitchen located at 3101 Guess Rd. (NOT at Melina's Fresh Pasta shop). All participants receive a Class Recipe Book via email after the class with the recipes from the class.
