United for Change: Celebrating the United Nations & Civic Engagement

Celebrate civic engagement, leadership, and the UN as WomenNC launches its 2026–2027 program year. Join WomenNC for an inspiring evening celebrating the power of local leadership to create global change. As WomenNC launches its 2026–2027 program year, we'll bring together students, educators, nonprofit leaders, elected officials, business professionals, and community members for an evening of connection, learning, and inspiration. Together, we'll celebrate the founding of the United Nations, the importance of civic engagement, and the leaders who are shaping a more equitable future. Meet WomenNC's newest Scholars and Youth Leaders for Change, hear how young leaders are making an impact across North Carolina and beyond, and connect with organizations dedicated to strengthening our communities through education, advocacy, and public service. Whether you're passionate about civic engagement, leadership, youth empowerment, or simply looking to become more involved in your community, this event offers an opportunity to connect with changemakers who believe that meaningful change starts close to home. Come celebrate the leaders of today, invest in the leaders of tomorrow, and discover how local action can create global impact.
