Going to the Hospital: When to go and what to expect Sierra Medical Center welcomes expecting families to our prenatal education classes, hosted by experienced local nurses. All classes are free to attend. Going to the hospital: when to go and what to expect: Waiting for your little one to join you is a time of great anticipation, but that same excitement can make it difficult to know when it is time to head to the hospital. In this class you will learn and discuss when and why to go to the hospital and what to expect when you get there. Class sizes vary by topic to ensure adequate time for questions and learning. Only one ticket is needed for both the expecting mom and one accompanying support person. Pre-natal classes and support groups hosted by Northern Nevada Health System are for educational purposes only. Any questions specific to a patient’s medical condition should be addressed by their provider.
