Sierra Medical Center welcomes expecting families to our prenatal education classes. Sierra Medical Center welcomes expecting families to our prenatal education classes, hosted by experienced local nurses. All classes are free to attend. Postpartum Expectations & Planning: Having a new baby is an amazing experience but it can be challenging. In this class, you will learn of the many challenges and changes that can happen when a new baby arrives. Have a real-world conversation about the physical, mental and emotional aspects of going home with a baby. Class sizes vary by topic to ensure adequate time for questions and learning. Only one ticket is needed for both the expecting mom and one accompanying support person. Pre-natal classes and support groups hosted by Northern Nevada Health System are for educational purposes only. Any questions specific to a patient’s medical condition should be addressed by their provider.
