Say It for Yourself is an intimate conversation series where two experienced Black women coaches create space to hear your own voice through music, reflection and discernment. We'll hold the space, offer tools and ask powerful questions. Your Facilitators DeUnna Hendrix | Leadership Coach, Hendrix to Y After 16 years coaching Division I basketball and leading two programs, DeUnna faced a leadership crisis that made her question how she was leading, what she wanted, and who she was becoming. What feels good? What do you want? And when did you learn that wanting it required guilt? Through music, reflection and conversation, we'll get curious about desire without immediately judging, explaining or fixing it. Leave having named one thing that's true for you and experienced what it feels like to let yourself say it. OCTOBER 8 | WHO TOLD YOU THAT? QUESTION IT. You know some of your origin story. Now let's ask whether it still gets to run the show. We'll explore three questions: Who told me this? Do I still believe it? Does it still belong in the life I'm creating? Through excavation, music and discernment, you'll examine the stories underneath your choices without making your past, your people or yourself the villain. Leave clearer about one story or belief you're ready to keep, question or release. OCTOBER 22 | YOU ARE HER...ALREADY CHOOSE. What if you don't need to become another woman before you can trust this one? This conversation brings what you know into the life you're actually living: What do I want now?
