Samhain Gathering: Remembering Our Ancestors

Remembering our kinship with Earth. Deepening our spirituality in nature. Embracing sacred connection with the land. Join us for Samhain (Sow-in) - an invitation to remember our ancestors and to celebrate a sacred time of endings and turning inward. Darkness grows as the days shorten, the harvest season draws to an end, and life energy all around us sinks down into the Earth. We meet outside, in a circle, and open ourselves to learn from the earth and trees, the waters and sky, and all living beings, human and more than human. This gathering will include contemplative practices, silent wandering, and fellowship. We are a diverse, LGBTQ+ affirming community and welcome all faiths and beliefs. Please join us! Sign up on Eventbrite to receive updates and reminders for the event. To Bring: • A folding chair or blanket to sit on. • Dress to be comfortable outside and wear sturdy shoes. Bring water to stay hydrated, and insect repellent, if needed. • A photo or momento that reminds you of one of your ancestors or someone you'd like to remember and honor (optional). We'll put these items on the altar during the gathering to share this event with loved ones who have passed on. • Food or drink to share (optional). Locally produced items or something you made are ideal. Even if you don't bring something, please be welcome to enjoy the food and talk after the gathering. Carpool to reduce our impact on the earth. Please arrive 15 minutes early - it is a 5 - 10 minute walk from the parking lot to the amphitheater. The gathering will occur regardless of weather.
