SURVIVOR STORIES: READING BETWEEN THE LINES

Join us for a Domestic Violence Awareness Month event centering survivor voices, community awareness, and meaningful action. Join the Legal Aid Society of Roanoke Valley and TAP Domestic Violence Services for an evening of powerful stories from local survivors of domestic violence, paired with thoughtful commentary and insight from advocates, law enforcement officers, court representatives, and mental health professionals, and more. The evening will conclude with a panel discussion featuring experts and survivors, offering an opportunity to listen, learn, and better understand the realities of domestic violence—and how our community can support those experiencing it. This free community event marks the beginning of Domestic Violence Awareness Month and is open to everyone: professionals, survivors, family members, supporters, and anyone who wants to learn more about domestic violence and the people and organizations working to end it in the Roanoke Valley.
