Burpee Museum BSA: Archaeology Merit Badge - In Person

Scouts will learn about archaeology from our registered Archaeology Merit Badge Counselors in this hands-on workshop. How is an archaeologist different from an anthropologist? What does an archaeologist do to learn about the past? In this class, Scouts will gain an understanding of how archaeologists examine artifacts from past cultures to learn about how they lived, and how this impacts our present lives. In this class, scouts will earn their Archaeology Merit Badge. Please Note: Burpee does not provide patches/badges. Pre-registration and pre-payment required to attend. Fees: • Scouts - $15 • Parent/Additional Adult - $6 Each • Scout Leaders - FREE In-Person Class Date: Sunday, October 11th, 2026 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM CST Location: Burpee Museum of Natural History, 737 North Main St. Rockford, IL 61103 In person check-in starts 15 minutes before the program start time; online check-in starts 5 minutes before the program start time. Please plan to be here early so we can start on time. Cancellation/Refund Policy: All event registrations and purchases are final and non-refundable. If Burpee Museum cancels an event, a full refund will be issued to registered participants. Programs may be canceled if minimum enrollment requirements are not met.
