5th Annual Heroes & Hounds Hoorah

Join us for an unforgettable evening as we come together to support the RRUFF Healing Heroes Program. RRUFF Healing Heroes is hosting its largest fundraiser on October 16, 2026, and we would be honored if you could join us! Our Heroes & Hounds Hoorah will feature a catered dinner, live music, and silent & live auction. Get your tickets today! We invite you to demonstrate your support of RRUFF Healing Heroes by donating to our silent auction, becoming a sponsor, or attending the event. Your generosity will help us achieve our fundraising goals. The RRUFF Healing Heroes Program provides funding for service dog training for veterans and first responders with PTSD and other invisible disabilities in the Greater Sacramento and Northern California Region. This program is made possible by the generous support of our RRUFF members, local businesses, and individual donations. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is a serious problem for veterans and first responders. Each day, 17 Veterans die by suicide, and more first responders die by suicide than on the job. We exist for the sole purpose of being a catalyst for hope and change. We do this1 Hero & 1 Dog at a time by funding the cost of service dog training, dog acquisition, spaying and neutering, puppy wellness packages, vaccinations, and other veterinary services as needed during training. The average cost is $7,800 for each student/dog team. Your support of our fundraising events directly helps to cover these costs. We hope to see you at our October event and sincerely appreciate all donations to help us achieve our fundraising goals. Click here to donate to RRUFF Healing Heroes!
