Inspired by 18th-century peepshows and theatrical stage sets, this structure is made of layered panels with cut-outs. The book itself is held together by concertinas on either side. Tunnel books naturally have the optical illusion of perspective, which leads to the drama of the book. “Nikki was excellent at explaining each step and helping us as needed. She was fantastic.” [What did you like about this workshop?] “Making a complicated book structure easy to learn (I'm still showing off my book to friends!)” “Nikki was delightful and enthusiastic. Her preparation was awesome, it was nice not having to bring supplies to my first class with her. Her knowledge of book arts is extensive & her artistry is exciting. All in all it was an inspiring & happy day.”
