910 Ranch Planting Day

Join us for a day of vegetation planting on a tributary of East Canyon Creek to help restore the riparian corridor. 910 Ranch Planting Day: Join Summit County's Lands & Natural Resources Department at the 910 Ranch for a hands-on day of stewardship and community connection! We will be planting vegetation along a tributary of East Canyon Creek. This restoration project will help improve wildlife habitat and help restore the riparian corridor. What to Bring & Wear: We recommend wearing long pants, long sleeves, and sturdy closed-toe shoes or muck boots. Don't forget sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen), a water bottle and snacks, and layers in case of changing weather. Please leave dogs at home. What to Expect: We will provide gloves, tools, and instruction. The project may involve walking up to 2 miles over uneven, often muddy terrain, with the possibility of stream crossings. You will be working in or near water, so you may get wet. Location: You will meet L&NR staff at the 910 Ranch. Meeting location and parking details will be provided in a confirmation email upon registration. Please carpool or take alternative modes of transportation, if possible. Safety Notice: By signing up and attending this activity, you acknowledge these risks, accept full responsibility for your participation, and agree to the terms of the waiver. Your safety is our priority—follow staff instructions and look out for one another. This is a great opportunity to roll up your sleeves, meet like-minded people, and directly enhance one of our community’s treasured open spaces.
