Banned Books Read-In

Kick off Banned Books Week with us at The King’s English Bookshop! Join us on the first day of Banned Books Week for a community Banned Books Read-In celebrating the freedom to read, the power of stories, and our right to access books. We’ll spend the day gathering in and around the shop with a variety of ways to get involved—including an audiobook walk around the 15th & 15th neighborhood from 10:30 am-11 am, where you can listen to a banned book while taking a stroll. We’ll have postcards available for writing to your elected representatives and making your voice heard in support of the freedom to read. BookTalkSLC and The Vibrant Book Club will lead a creative banned-books-themed craft. Check out their monthly banned book club! Come connect with fellow readers who are passionate about protecting access to stories and ideas.
