Craft Lake City Workshop: Pressed Botanicals at Asher Adams

Turn pressed blooms into keepsake art. Arrange, design, and frame your own botanical piece with Ashley Mott. All supplies provided. Craft Lake City Workshop: Pressed Botanicals at Asher Adams Join local artist and educator Ashley Mott of Alpenglow Arts for a two-hour creative evening at Asher Adams Hotel. You’ll work with real pressed flowers and seasonal leaves to create your own framed botanical artwork, pairing delicate blooms with a background and upcycled frame that reflect your style. Your $45 ticket includes: • A finished framed botanical piece made by you • A selection of pre-pressed flowers and seasonal leaves • An upcycled frame, backing paper, and collage materials • Watercolors, inks, adhesives and shared project tools • Two hours of hands-on instruction with Ashley Mott • Individual guidance on composition, frame styling, and assembly • Tips for collecting, pressing, and caring for botanicals at home All project supplies are provided. Ashley will guide you through the process from start to finish, so come ready to experiment and create. Workshop Details Date: Thursday, November 5, 2026 Time: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Check-in: 5:45 p.m. Location: Asher Adams Hotel, 2 South 400 West, Salt Lake City, UT 84101 Class size: Limited to 15 participants Registration: $45 What You’ll Create Pressed flowers are the focus, with autumn leaves available to add color, shape, and texture to your composition. You’ll choose your botanicals and frame, explore watercolor and ink backgrounds, and learn simple techniques for styling a repurposed frame. Ashley will demonstrate how to handle delicate specimens, plan an arrangement, secure your botanicals, and assemble your finished piece. You’ll work with flowers and leaves that have already been pressed, while learning how to collect and press your own materials for future projects. Each frame and botanical selection will vary, making every finished piece personal. You’ll leave with framed artwork to take home and practical techniques to keep creating. Ashley Mott | Alpenglow Arts Ashley Mott is an interdisciplinary artist, career educator, and passionate maker whose teaching experience spans university, college, secondary, private studio, and community settings. She holds an MFA in Dance with an emphasis in Creative Process from Saint Mary’s College of California, along with a Master’s in Education and a BFA in Modern Dance from the University of Utah. Through Alpenglow Arts, Ashley combines hands-on art education, botanical craft, and sustainable, nature-inspired design. When she isn’t teaching or making art, she can often be found hiking, camping, and gathering inspiration from the outdoors. Upon arrival, attendees will check in with a Craft Lake City representative, gather the necessary supplies from the instructor and select a seat.All participants must be seated no later than five minutes before the workshop begins. Craft Lake City strives to provide a high-quality making experience during every workshop. This policy ensures that participants have adequate time to learn, create and enjoy the activity. Waitlist Policy Craft Lake City workshops frequently sell out. Spots may occasionally become available when registered participants do not attend, and these openings are offered to individuals on the workshop waitlist.To join the on-site waitlist, please arrive 15 minutes before the workshop and check in with a Craft Lake City representative. Individuals will be added to the waitlist in the order they arrive.Five minutes before the workshop begins, Craft Lake City may invite waitlisted individuals to purchase tickets on site and take the place of absent participants. Placement is not guaranteed. Cancellation and Transfer Policy Craft Lake City cannot offer refunds or exchanges, but workshop tickets are transferable. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to a friend, family member or another individual interested in the workshop. The person attending in your place must arrive 15 minutes before the workshop and present a printed or electronic copy of the ticket along with the original ticket holder’s name to a Craft Lake City representative. --------------------------------------- Parking is available at The Gateway, where the first hour is free and parking is $2 after that.
