A play about extraordinary women, complex relationships, and the power of words... and flying. Three generations of extraordinary women collide in Scaffold Theatre’s raw, intimate production. An eccentric grandmother, an estranged mother, and a national spelling bee champion navigate pride, genius, and forgiveness in Lee Blessing’s Eleemosynary—staged in Scaffold Theatre’s minimalist, intimate warehouse venue. Stripped of ornate sets, this powerful drama harnesses skilled acting and imagination to explore the complex relationships between three generations of Westbury women. ELEEMOSYNARY is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Dramatists Play Service.
