Carried Forward: A Restorative Writing Workshop at Wine Folks

Presented by The Write Mind in collaboration with Wine Folks, Carried Forward is a restorative writing workshop offering time to slow down, reflect, and explore what you’re carrying—and what you hope to carry forward. Whether you’re navigating change, processing a difficult season, or simply craving a thoughtful evening of creativity and connection, you’re welcome here. WHAT TO EXPECT • An opening centering prayer to settle into the evening. • Three guided writing prompts inspired by a picture, a song, and a reflective question. • Opportunities to connect and share, if you choose. • A gentle grounding practice to close the evening. This workshop is rooted in Christian faith and welcomes people of every belief. No writing experience is necessary. You may participate at your own comfort level, and sharing your writing is always optional. Wine Folks requires a minimum purchase of one drink per person. This purchase is separate from your workshop ticket; a drink is not included in the $25 admission. The gathering is limited to 8 participants. YOUR FACILITATOR Shãna Nissen holds a Master of Arts in English & Creative Writing and is the Founder & CEO of The Write Mind and Host of the Carried Forward Podcast. Her work brings together writing, faith, and stories of moving forward through life’s challenges. WHAT TO BRING Bring a notebook or journal, a pen, and a willingness to explore.
