Join She Runs Latinas Run Club for our first-ever Thankful Miles 5K, a special fall-inspired running event bringing our community together for a morning filled with movement, gratitude, connection, and purpose! Whether you're running your very first 5K, chasing a new personal best, walking with your family, or simply showing up to enjoy the experience, there's a place for you at our starting line. All paces are welcome! Run, jog, or walk your 3.1 miles. This day isn't about how fast you finish. It's about celebrating what our bodies can do, creating meaningful memories, and making a difference together. What to Expect We're creating more than just a 5K. We're bringing you a full morning of fun, community, and unforgettable experiences! 5K Run/Walk: A welcoming, family-friendly experience for runners and walkers of all levels Finisher Medal & Race Bib: Every registered participant will receive a special Thankful Miles finisher medal and race bib. Medal Personalization: We're working to bring on-site medal engraving so you can make your finish even more memorable! DJ & Music: Good vibes, great energy, and music to keep the celebration going. Food & Local Vendors: Enjoy breakfast tacos, Tostitos, sweet treats, snacks, and more available for purchase from local small businesses. Raffles & Giveaways Kids' Crafts & Activities: Fun activities for our little ones to enjoy. Gratitude Wall: Share what you're thankful for and be part of something meaningful. Photo Opportunities: Capture memories and celebrate your finish with friends and family! Running for a Cause This year, we're running with gratitude and giving with purpose. Thankful Miles is proud to support House of Neighborly Service, a San Antonio nonprofit dedicated to strengthening families and serving our local community. A portion of our event proceeds will be donated to support their mission. But we want to make an even bigger impact, and we're inviting YOU to be part of it! Bring a Donation. Make a Difference. We're encouraging all participants to bring an in-kind donation on race day to support House of Neighborly Service and the families they serve. Suggested donations include: Non-perishable food items Baby wipes and baby formula Children's socks and underwear Personal hygiene products Other items from the organization's current needs list We're also planning fun raffles and giveaways throughout the event, with more details to be announced!
