Location: Walker Ranch, 12603 W Ave., San Antonio, TX 78216 Date: Friday, September 18, 2026 | 8:30 PM – 10:30PM Project: Walker Ranch Blacklight Bioblitz - iNat Together Meeting Point: Blacklight tent close to parking lot Hiking level: easy terrain Overview Join us for black lighting event on Friday, September 18th, at 8:30pm. We'll bioblitz for moths and other night time insects. This event is part of iNat Together (September 18–28) a global campaign encouraging iNaturalist users to connect in person over nature. This event is organized by Nathan Wahler, Anya Loeblich, Tamara Verschoyle, Claire Carter and Jane Weeden. Event Schedule We'll start with a brief intro to iNaturalist for anyone new to app and best practices for nightime insect photography. After that, we'll hit the blacklight stations phones and cameras ready, to see what we can find to document. These iNat meetups are open to anyone, and no previous experience is needed.
