Practical AI Automation Lab

No hype. No complex jargon. Build a practical AI-assisted workflow, test it safely, and leave with a clear implementation plan for you Stop collecting AI tips. Build one useful workflow. SoCal Business Innovation Hub: Practical AI Automation Lab is a three-hour, small-group workshop for business owners and operators who want to explore where AI can reduce repetitive work without creating unnecessary complexity. Participants bring a laptop and work through one practical business process from beginning to end. The session focuses on: Audit. Build. Test. Decide. Rather than presenting dozens of tools, the instructor helps participants identify one appropriate workflow, understand its inputs and risks, build a small prototype using the confirmed workshop tools, and decide whether the workflow is worth continuing. This is not a product pitch, investment seminar, or promise of financial results. No coding background is required. Suitable Workflow Examples The workshop may use examples involving: • drafting routine customer-service replies; • summarizing non-sensitive notes; • organizing content ideas; • transforming structured text into a repeatable format; • preparing internal checklists; • categorizing sample requests; • creating first-draft follow-up messages; • extracting information from synthetic sample documents; • routing low-risk administrative tasks.
