A Stronger Path Forward Featured non-profit: National LGBTQ Task Force / Creating Change This November, we are spotlighting the National LGBTQ Task Force and Creating Change, the gathering it hosts every year. The Task Force is the oldest LGBTQ grassroots social justice advocacy nonprofit in the country. Its mission is to build a world where you can be you, and it does that by training and mobilizing thousands of activists across the nation. Millions of LGBTQ+ people still face barriers in housing, employment, healthcare, retirement, and basic human rights, and the Task Force works at the community level to change that. The organization is led by President Kierra Johnson. Creating Change is where that work comes alive. Since 1988, it has brought thousands of organizers, advocates, and community leaders together to build skills, celebrate wins, and strengthen the movement. Expect keynotes, institutes, annual awards, and more than 100 workshops and caucuses. Creating Change 2027 lands in Louisville, Kentucky, January 27 to 31.
