Humanmade Founder Session - Pitching Your Startup w/ Peter Liu of The Pitch

From Product to Pitch: Telling a Story Investors Can Understand You know what you’re building and why it matters. Turning that knowledge into a clear, compelling pitch is a skill of its own. Join Humanmade for a Founder Session with Peter Liu, Venture Partner at The Pitch, the podcast where founders pitch their startups to investors for real funding. Peter helps source and evaluate companies for the show, bringing a firsthand perspective on how founders introduce their businesses and navigate investor questions. We’ll explore how to build a pitch around the essentials: the problem you’re solving, who needs your product, what you’ve learned so far, and why your team is positioned to move it forward. For hardware founders, that includes making technical ideas accessible and connecting product development milestones to a convincing business opportunity. We’ll also discuss communicating early traction, balancing ambition with evidence, and preparing for the questions that follow your presentation. The focus will be on helping founders explain their businesses clearly and approach investor conversations with greater confidence. Whether you’re preparing for Demo Day, starting fundraising conversations, or refining how you talk about your company, join us for practical perspectives on telling your startup’s story. Bring your questions for an open discussion, followed by time to meet other founders, builders, and members of the local hardware community.
