Jonathan T. Raup: Works on Paper

Jonathan T. Raup (1962-2020) made art for about fifty years. He worked in sumi-e ink, charcoal, pen, and pencil, and he wrote poetry. He practiced Buddhism. He gave his work away freely and never exhibited it during his lifetime. I am his daughter. Since 2022 I have been finding, scanning, and cataloguing his work, roughly 500 pieces so far. In July, a longtime friend of his gave us 240 works from the mid-1990s to the early 2000s. Some of them will be shown for the first time at Bello. Everyone who has come to a showing is invited to every future one. I hope to see you there. Sydnie Raup
