Noir-vember with Brian Lohmann [PRQ-I]

One-day intensive Class Time/Dates: 10:00am-5:00pm on Sunday // November 29 Schedule: 1 session Class size: 12 students maximum Prerequisite: Foundation 3 or equivalent. Email [email protected] for the access code! Tuition: $199 When Noir works, it explodes with Character Chemistry. Do you find your characters sizzle with the other characters in the story? Here’s a chance to dig into that. A great playground for character-based work, Noir often follows Keith Johnstone’s suggestion: get the main character into trouble and make it worse, and who makes things worse? – often other people. We’ll work on making strong connections, and, because Noir is a genre with heat, tension and humor, we’ll practice taking risks, being charming, making banter and provoking to the boiling point. This one-night workshop will touch on some noir story fundamentals: heists and capers, doomed lovers and finding the fly in the web. Come play in the shadows! We have community standards, a conflict process, and a COVID prevention policy in place. Agreement/acceptance of these policies is required to participate in BATS classes. Please use the links above to access and read these policies, and check the boxes during registration to indicate your agreement/confirmation. Refunds / Transfers / Exchanges All sales are final.
