Sweaty Hour: October!

"I wanna have some fun. There's not enough fun going on anymore. Where is the fun?” - RuPaul WE'RE HERE TO DANCE. It's October, aka SF Summer, so let's dial up the heat. You know the drill. Bring a song for the playlist: hiphop, throwbacks, disco, whatever is moving you at this moment. No agenda other than to dance to good music with friends. Why? Because dance is POWERFUL, dance is SPIRITUAL, and it's the basis for ACTIVISM, CHANGE, and GROWTH. Our movement is our call to ACTION. Let's keep the fire going strong into the last half of the year. ​Agenda(ish): 05min - What’s this dance thing we’re doing? Quick intro 🙂 30min - DANCE TIME 10min - Water Break/ Stretch 30min - DANCE TIME 05min - Wrap up/ Bye* * Depending on group vibes, we might propose to grab a beer / snack / hang after. ​Community Guidelines  Water is life! Bring a water bottle. This is a trash-free event. No spiked heels, please. The dance floor is delicate and we don’t want to puncture it. Sneakers are great! Leg weight/ arm weights? If you want to amp up your session (woof), give it a go! We are a judgment-free space. Feel free to observe other people’s movements but don’t be creepy, please. Who are we? Sweaty Hour is a series where you simply show up and ... dance. We're two dance enthusiasts who moved to SF from NYC and wanted to recreate an open and vibrant dance scene we could count on and trust to be fully authentic. Sweaty Hour isn't a nightclub or a fitness class. No coordination or fancy outfits required, just music that makes us feel things and a community rooted in acceptance and positivity. All are welcome! *We sometimes go out for brunch, pizza, or a beer after, but no pressure.
