The Art of Snail Mail

Snail mail is back! Slow down and join us for a crafty letter writing session celebrating anologue connection as SF Craft Club celebrated the release of Martina Calvi’s new book,The Art of Snail Mail at The Love Potion Library! Tickets to the event include: 📖Your very own copy of The Art of Snail Mail! 🪑A seat to craft at ✂️An assortment of craft supplies to use, provided by Martina’s Tiny Store and SF Craft Club! These will include patterned scrapbook papers, stationery, envelopes,  exclusive themed The Art of Snail Mail ephemera, stickers and more! 💌Access to our optional activities: crafty letter swap,card and postcard making Optional Activities: 💌Crafty Letter Exchange: Take inspiration from projects in the book and decorate a letter. Play with a table full of crafty materials and rediscover the simple joy of making something by hand. When you’re finished, tuck your letter inside a pretty envelope with a note to share with a fellow craft club attendee. We will also have templates available for you to use. Drop your finished piece into our swap box, and at the end of the night, draw one at random for a sweet surprise from a fellow crafter💖 You are welcome to make your card ahead of the event if you’d like. 📜Card and Postcard Making: Create one-of-a-kind cards and postcards using pens, stamps, collage bits, and embellishments. Get an early start on holiday mail, birthday cards for friends, or quick notes to your pen pal. Cut, collage, sticker, stamp and write your way to a one-of-a-kind piece of mail art to someone you love, a pen pal, or your future self. No craft experience or perfect handwriting required - just come ready to make something worth sending. You’ll leave with your own piece of mail art, ready to pop in the post and/or a piece of mail art from a new crafty friend! Pastries and tea will be available for purchase.
