Full description from organizer

Become a citizen scientist, and help collect important data about native plants and animals! Gamble Garden is excited to partner with the California Native Plant Society to support the Biodiversity in Urban Gardens (BUG) initiative. This project will be a two-year effort that links community science, public policy, and civic action to foster biodiversity in urban landscapes. Participants will join community scientists across California recording observations of native wildlife interacting with native plants to provide much-needed data on the relationship between these organisms in urban areas. Join us for this free information and training session to learn more about this exciting opportunity and how you can get involved in the project. In this workshop you will learn more about the BUG initiative, ways to get involved, and how to use iNaturalist to contribute observations to the project. No experience is necessary. To learn more about the BUG initiative visit cnps.org/bug.
