Each session in this series operates as a standalone workshop at $20 per class, allowing you to drop in for individual topics or join us for the whole journey. Plus, your initial workshop fee acts as an investment in your learning— each $20 ticket can be applied as a discount toward tuition for future multi-week group language courses at SJLC! Cantonese snacks will be provided! • 🧨 Session 2: Traditional Festivals & Taboos (Sat, Oct 17) - Uncover the true origins of major traditional celebrations—and the fascinating, critical taboos you need to avoid during holiday seasons! Cantonese snacks will be provided! • 💍 Session 3: The Cantonese Wedding (Sat, Oct 24) - Step inside the grand traditions, symbolism, and colorful rituals of a classic Chinese wedding, from tea ceremonies to modern adaptations. Cantonese snacks will be provided! • 🗣️ Session 4: Slang, Idioms & Indigenous Humor (Sat, Nov 11) - Unlock the colorful, quirky world of Cantonese slang!
