Vani Suresh: Ananta Margam - The Infinite Pursuit

A classical dance performance and fundraiser exploring the artist's never-ending journey as a student of Bharatanatyam. Vani Suresh: Ananta Margam – The Infinite Pursuit We would like to warmly invite you to this solo recital by Vani Suresh, student of Smt. Shreelata Suresh. Having completed her arangetram in 2018, Vani has performed for years as a soloist and group dancer. She has performed locally and abroad in Chennai's marghazhi festival, danced in thematic Vishwa Shanthi productions, and choreographed for her intercollegiate competitions, winning 1st nationally two years in a row. In addition to her mother and guru Smt. Shreelata Suresh, Vani has learnt under renowned gurus Sri. A Lakshmanaswamy, Smt. Bragha Bessell, and Smt. Shweta Prachande. This program is an ode to the pursuit of art, and how the process of learning is truly infinite. Vani is immensely grateful for the role dance has played in her life thus far, and hopes to share some of the joy with all of you. In addition, all proceeds from this program will go to the Presidio Performing Arts Foundation, supporting their DANCEOUT! initiative. For over two decades, this incredible program has partnered with the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) to bring free, high-quality dance education into public school classrooms and underserved neighborhoods. By embedding professional artists into Title I schools and funding the annual Children's Day showcase at the SF War Memorial Opera House, DANCEOUT! ensures that creative expression and access to opportunity is a right shared by all children, rather than a privilege gated by financial background. https://presidiodance.org/danceout Suggested donation amount is $15, but we encourage you to give as much as you are able to this incredible organization in our community. Thank you in advance for your presence and generosity. We look forward to having you in the audience!
