Diamantide opening for Vixen

Diamantide open for Vixen — Thursday, October 29 in West Hollywood. Progressive melodic metal, live at the Whisky a Go Go. Formed in the Bay Area in 2023, Diamantide fuses the labyrinthine musicianship of progressive metal with soaring, cinematic vocal hooks that stick with you long after the last cymbal crash fades — Dream Theater's technical ambition, Nightwish's symphonic scale, and the darker emotional gravity of Evanescence and Evergrey. Dia's vocals carry the band's emotional core, equal parts power and vulnerability; Max's guitar work swings from intricate riffing to soaring melodic leads; Alex's bass and Kurt's drums lock together as the backbone that lets the rest of the band take risks. Their self-titled debut, released August 2024, turned heads in the Bay Area's notoriously discerning metal scene. Since then they've shared stages with Powerman 5000 and Living Dead Girl, and 2026 brings a new full-length that pushes the sound further without losing the emotional directness that makes their live shows connect.
