Full description from organizerShow less
Dan Kwong's Manzanar Baseball Project revisits the powerful history of baseball at Manzanar, where Japanese Americans incarcerated during World War II built teams, leagues, and a vibrant baseball culture within the camp. Through storytelling, performance, and community engagement, Kwong connects this history to larger questions of resilience, belonging, and what communities create in the face of displacement. Gather with us to watch the livestream together and experience this ongoing project connecting Manzanar’s past with communities today. Event Schedule 10:00am – Morning Game 12:00pm – Break 1:20pm – Opening Ceremonies 2:00pm – All-Star Game 5:00pm – Closing Ceremony: Obon Dancing
