the abhorrum masquerade

Literati Events invites you to step into the abhorrum masquerade, our annual evening celebrating the macabre, the eldritch, and the forbidden. This year’s inspiration: The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. Come as your finest self (or your most feral) as you explore immersive entertainment where live music and curated performances carry you into a world of dark fantasy. Our Partners The H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society (HPLHS): HPLHS brings the evening to life with a game run all night, paired with a dramatic reading of passages from The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. Golden Coast Mead: Enjoy tastings of artisanal, West Coast style meads which combine a mastery of ancient brewing tradition with appeals to the modern palate. The LA Poet Society: In alignment with our commitment to the arts, a portion of all ticket sales directly supports the LA Poet Society, fostering inclusive literary networks throughout Los Angeles.
