Ron Burback with Hancock Whitney is our host this month. We'll be networking & proceeds will benefit Farmhouse Animal and Nature Sanctuary. Ron has chosen the Farmhouse Animal and Nature Sanctuary as the non-profit organization to receive our charitable contribution this month. Founders and lifelong animal lovers Dave and Lisa Burns volunteered for many years at a local wild and exotic animal rescue and rehabilitation center before becoming live-in caretakers at the sanctuary. When the sanctuary was preparing to close, Dave and Lisa knew they wanted to continue caring for the animals who depended on them while also helping others in need. They founded Farmhouse Animal & Nature Sanctuary, established it as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and relocated the animals to their property in Myakka City, Florida, just off State Road 64. Inspired by dear friends whose commitment to helping animals left a lasting impact, Farmhouse Sanctuary was built on the belief that when people take the time to listen, animals will show them what they need. Dave and Lisa hope to honor that legacy while bringing some ideas of their own to the sanctuary’s mission. Today, with the support of their board of directors and dedicated volunteers, the sanctuary continues to grow and evolve. Their goal is to provide every animal with a safe and loving home while teaching a new generation about the joy and importance of caring for animals. Connectors With a Cause was founded in 2022 and was born from a passion to support local businesses and our community. We are a closed networking group, only allowing one member per industry classification. Our objectives are to grow each other’s businesses with quality referrals, to add value by providing services for each other’s clients, and to bless others in the community through giving opportunities. We have open positions in many industry classifications and welcome the opportunity to help new members grow their businesses. We meet twice per month. Our 2nd Wednesday meetings are on Zoom and follow a structured agenda for networking and passing referrals. Our 4th Tuesday meetings are our in person CWC Cause Nights. Our CWC Cause Nights are held at rotating locations in Manatee and Sarasota counties on the 4th Tuesday of each month from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. The Cause Nights are open networking meetings, with charitable giving supporting different causes each month.
