From the Sarasota County Courthouse (1927) to the former S.H. Kress & Company Store (1932) to Sarasota Memorial Hospital / former Sarasota Herald-Tribune Offices (2006), the iconic edifices of downtown showcase some 80 years of architectural history, design styles, and local stories. Planning Considerations: 2-hour guided walking tour with numerous stops Departs and returns to the Pavilion, 265 S Orange Avenue Check-in begins 15 mins to departure. • Wear comfortable shoes. • Prepare to be in the sun (sunscreen, sunglasses, hat). • Stay hydrated.
