EcoWalk: Sand Dunes

Join UF/IFAS for an engaging walk into the fantastic world of sand dunes, on a tour of one of our local natural areas! This is a limited registration event. If your plans change, please cancel your registration so that others may attend. Join UF/IFAS Extension Sarasota County for an engaging walk into the fantastic world of sand dunes on a tour through one of our local natural areas. These walks will focus on learning about the ecology of sand dune ecosystems, identifying species inhabiting sand dunes and the intertidal zone, and wildlife viewing. Meet at the kiosk at the corner of John Ringling Blvd and Benjamin Franklin Drive. Allow 10 minutes if walking from free parking at the beach pavilion to the kiosk. Bring a bag to collect litter. Wear shoes that can get sandy. *****Trail Accessibility Information: Trail surface/conditions: The main walking trail consists of sand.
