Our Hour In-Person Happy Hour

All are invited to the October Our Hour In-Person Happy Hour! Fall foliage, Caribbean flavors, and an evening by the “pool.” Not your typical October combination—but that’s exactly where Our Hour is headed this month! Twice a year, we take Our Hour a little beyond the four-county Capital District to discover places you might not otherwise find. In the fall, we head north—and this time, we’re stopping in Queensbury, at the foothills of the Adirondacks, where Queensbury Billiards & Cafe is welcoming us for an evening of good drinks, good food, and good conversation. Don’t let “Cafe” in the name fool you—this is a bar and billiards spot with a little something extra: the owners bring the flavors of their native Guyana to upstate New York, giving our autumn happy hour a Caribbean twist. Thanks to Brandon Dewyea of Moxie, a recent addition to the Our Hour crowd who helped bring this visit together, we’ll have the opportunity to sample some of the cafe’s food, courtesy of Brandon. Order a drink at the bar, try something delicious, and catch up with friends, old and new. Pick up a cue if you’re inclined—or simply enjoy the company. No pool skills required. So take the scenic route, enjoy some fall color along the way, and join us for something a little different.
