Join Kula Cloth and Mountains to Sound Greenway to plant native trees and shrubs at the newly expanded Tiger Mountain Summit Trailhead. We're teaming up with the incredible humans at Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust to plant native trees and shrubs for restoration projects at the newly expanded parking lot at Tiger Mountain. After you register, we will send you a waiver via email. Be sure to complete it and tell them Kula sent you! It's a Tree Planting Party With Kula Cloth! Join us for a day that’s all about giving back to the landscapes we love. We’ll spend the morning getting our hands in the dirt to help restore the landscape around the newly expanded Tiger Mountain Summit Trailhead and Parking Lot. All tools, gloves, and instruction will be provided, and no planting experience is necessary. Why Are We Planting Here? The Tiger Mountain Summit Trailhead has been expanded, including a larger parking area, that allows more people to enjoy this well-loved recreation area. The expansion means more room for hikers, bikers, and equestrians, but it also means more pavement... and the landscape needs a bit of love. We want to help turn the edges of the new parking lot and trailhead into a beautiful extension of the forest. We’ll plant native trees and shrubs that will eventually add shade, greenery, and habitat—creating a more inviting place to park, gather, and start an adventure. The trees we plant today will be enjoyed by hikers, bikers, and equestrians for generations to come. Plus, there’s something deeply satisfying about getting your hands dirty and knowing you’re making a real impact. Come spend some time outside, meet fellow outdoor enthusiasts, and give Tiger Mountain a little love! What to Expect: • To play in the dirt (yep, you have permission) • Bad plant puns (come prepared!) • A few surprise goodies (because we love you) • Photo ops with your new BFFs and a few tiny trees What You’ll Need to Bring: We’ve got the gloves! Please bring your energy, enthusiasm and be sure to wear: • Sturdy, close-toed shoes (absolutely no sandals) • Long pants (we’ll be working with tools, so no shorts!) • Rain gear and warm layers • A full water bottle and snacks (because planting trees can be a workout) • A small daypack for your snacks and layers Where to Meet to Get Dirty With Us! Driving Directions Google Maps: From I-90 Eastbound, use the right 2 lanes to take exit 25 for WA-18 W. Turn right onto WA-18 W. In four miles, turn right (signs for Tiger Mountain State Forest), continue straight and turn right into the parking lot. Additional Information Located southeast of Issaquah, Tiger Mountain is the third mountain making up the Issaquah Alps, alongside Cougar and Squak Mountains. The Tiger Mountain State Forest is one of the most well known forests in Washington, home to 13,745-acres of working forest. This includes a dense network of trails for hikers, bikers, hang gliders, paragliders, and equestrian users that lead through wildflower meadows and host beautiful displays of foliage in autumn. With the easy accessibility of Tiger Mountain, it is used abundantly for recreation, and in 2026 the newly expanded Tiger Summit Trailhead was opened to the public. Volunteers will plant the edges of the new trailhead and parking lots to help enhance the beauty of the well loved Tiger Mountain.
