Lights Up Ensemble Presents...Disney's NEWSIES!

Lights Up Ensemble is thrilled to present Disney’s NEWSIES as our inaugural full-scale production! As our first production as an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Newsies marks an exciting new chapter for LUE and reflects our commitment to creating exceptional theatre experiences where every student feels seen, challenged, inspired, and empowered to grow as both artists and humans. Inspired by the true story of the 1899 Newsboys’ Strike, Newsies follows a group of children who stand together against powerful forces to fight for a fairer future. Through a contemporary lens and inclusive, all-gender casting, our production celebrates the timeless power of young voices, courageous leadership, collective action, and community. More than a story about a strike, Newsies reminds us what can happen when ordinary people find the courage to stand up for what they believe in—and discover that they are stronger together. Led by artistic team Alyssa Jiwani, Kelsi Raich, Ian Williams, alongside Mia Falcone, Emma Cort, Ashlyn Gallinger, and Kalea Levy, our LUE Stars have been working hard to bring this high-energy musical to life. Along the way, they’ve challenged themselves artistically, strengthened their confidence, developed leadership and collaboration skills, formed lasting friendships, and created memories that will stay with them long after the final curtain. Join us for an unforgettable celebration of courage, community, and the power of finding—and using—your voice. We can’t wait to share this special production with you! Lights Up Ensemble — Step into your light.
